

I’ve tried repeatedly to add a schedule, but it isn’t working. Recently I deleted our current schedule because we had to run the pump continuously to circulate chemicals. We have had issues trying to use the schedule feature since we bought the pool less than 1 year ago. We may have been told that when the pool was set up, but there was so much information given to us when we started the pool up it wasn’t something we remembered. This is not the fault of the app, but the system. I had too many items scheduled (egg times do count as a program). I have the automated system called a easytouch psl4 and that system has a maximum 4 programs available to it. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the system is limited. Everything has been fixed and the schedule is running as it should be. I’ve been in touch with Chris and he has been VERY responsive. I’ve increased my star rating from a 2 to a 4. You have to delete a program, such as auto lights, cleaner times, water feature start and stop, etc rather than just adjust start and stop times in the schedules.

The system is overloaded and you won’t be able to log on. Don’t plan on checking your water temp, firing off your heater, checking your chemistry etc between Friday and Sunday. The app crashes on schedule during peak usage times. I’m really surprised at how a major national brand has dropped the ball on building an app to run their pool equipment since having the “IntelliCenter” is supposed to be key to the Pentair System. One would think that Pentair would put some money into developing an app that works. What a disappointing app from a major supplier of pool equipment. If the major outstanding bugs could be fixed (and new features added over time of course-laminar thumper control please!), it would be perfect! I’m hoping to give the dev team some encouragement with my review-the app works really well for my needs and I’m a happy customer. This eventually causes the app to freeze. One other bug is that each time the app is sent to the background, when it returns to the foreground it re-logs in and then attempts to restore the session or something so the screen flips to the home screen a number of times (once for each time the app was sent to the background). I’m still able to work with schedule in the web app or on the Intellicenter screen so luckily it’s not a show-stopper. One that I’ve seen since the beginning is setting times in schedules causes an immediate app crash. At the time I’m writing this review there hasn’t been an update since I’ve installed my system and the app information page says the last update was over a year ago… Reason being, there are some major bugs that need to be resolved, most of which likely already have been detailed in the app reviews here. I do wish that they would update more frequently. I know that many are frustrated over issues here and there, but I think Pentair has done a pretty good job with this and I don’t believe that any competitors offer significantly better alternatives. Honestly, the app works very well, looks good, and does everything I expect/need it to do.
